Collection: Amazon A+ Graphics

While working in the marketing department at Master Magnetics Inc., my team was tasked with designing the graphics for the company’s Amazon page for Amazon A+. These graphics showcased the various products available in each of the product lines sold at MMI, featuring an introduction graphic followed by two graphics with information about some of our best-selling categories.

Software/Tools Used:

  • Adobe InDesign

  • Adobe Photoshop

  • Amazon A+

Process

Together, we scoured through the product image library, sourced images we could use, took new pictures, retouched the images as needed in Adobe Photoshop, and then compiled them all together in Adobe InDesign.

A recurring theme in my designs for Master Magnetics is a reference to the curved horseshoe magnet. Much like the existing company logo. This manifests in arcs that connect various areas of the designs and contain primary elements like photos, body text, and graphics. We created alternative designs to provide variation among our pages while maintaining other recurring themes.

Once the designs were approved by our supervisors, we uploaded the content to Amazon A+.

Takeaways

Acquiring a working knowledge of Amazon A+ is a valuable skill to have, but there is more about the task that continues to serve me. This collection of work doesn’t feel so much like an elaborate project, like many of the other works depicted in my portfolio. This project was an exercise in iterative design. I now feel much more comfortable with the repetition of creating multiple versions of a design for continuity purposes, and still finding ways to keep the design fresh. Admittedly, this is an area where I have room to grow, and having more hands-on experience allows me to push the limits of my creativity a little further. It inspires more out of me. Additionally, I felt like I was gaining more technical experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. By repeating designs, I was able to refine my process and become a more efficient worker.
